Elohim
When my wife first shared her recording of an acoustic demo of this song, I was honestly blown away and immediately had a vision for production direction. Partly inspired by the Lauryn Hill album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” (as I often am being that this album was one of my favorites I grew up with) I set out with the goal to have a musical arrangement that doesn’t take away from but supports the intimacy and power of the lyrics and tune. The acoustic demo alone was on repeat for me for a long time as it continued to blow me away with fresh revelation of Elohim in a challenging season–anchoring my soul in Him. It’s so easy to get distracted and forget all that The Lord is to us but then songs like this can really bring you back to the center of what is real. Was honored to almost selfishly produce this one if it was only for my own soul to have a song like this to refocus me in this crazy life. Hope you all enjoy this one as much as we do.
