All in Memoirs
So, it turns out that my kids actually don’t even need a designated day to dress up in costumes (or solicit candy donations).
With so much mystery in raising this boy, I have so many reasons to lean into it all and see to it that I’m as fully present as possible... it seems like you can just blink and miss out.
Not too long ago, I took my son to get his first haircut and we made a short video of it all.
Seven years ago today, I met my wife in person for the first time (also had our "first date" and became a couple).
It's surreal for me seeing them with the new little one. It wasn't too long ago that they were just as tiny... but now they are growing up in what feels like overnight.
Isn't mercy something that we all need (the thing of not getting what we deserve)? And with raising children, how do we teach them to have mercy?
As the new year approaches, I find myself re-evaluating and considering the past as it lends to the future.

Is it just me, or is parenting a very thankless job? Especially fatherhood!
Theres so many things I treasure that I've learned from my father in law. What I'm about to share with you is a jewel out of that treasure chest.
"Reach for the sky!" In our home, we are no stranger to this quote, or the Toy Story films.
On a perfect fall day of November 11th 2011, in a beautifully decorated cobble stone and wood cabin in a forrest not far from Nashville Tennessee; I married my best friend.
You see what I just did there? Yep, Dad jokes. Fathering three, going on four children now, and my sense of humor has never been better! Just wanted to say hello and also welcome you to my family's memoirs...
